Office of Technology (OT) has frequent openings for the following careers:
 
Information Technology Associate: 
Performs in an entry level capacity in a variety of information technology disciplines within OT. 
Work assignments become progressively more challenging, designed to lead to other assignments in client service technologist, networking, voice technology, information security, application support, project management, information technology procurement or other information technology related disciplines
 
Information Technology Client Analyst: 
Positions include the support staff and field staff. Provides experienced client technologies support by reporting, responding to, analyzing and resolving customer information technology problems and service requests. IT support certifications and travel may be required. 
 
Information Systems Specialist:
Performs entry-level technical work in installing, implementing and maintaining multiple platforms and applications. Troubleshoots hardware and software problems that occur in various networked computer systems. Evaluates overall effectiveness, strengths and weaknesses of software systems and compatibility with the hardware and software of current installations. May specialize in networking technologies, data communications, hardware support or software support.
 
Programmer Analyst:
Analyzes, designs, develops and implements complex computer systems using modern technologies including, but not limited to: .Net, SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Reviews functionality of hardware and software systems to develop cost/benefit ratios and select appropriate platforms for systems development and operations. Writes procedural manuals, explains procedures to users, flows business processes, understands entity relationship and database concepts. 
 
Information Technology Project Manager: 
Manages a diverse team in the development and delivery of information technology projects in OT. Applies accepted project management methods and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget, adhere to quality standards and meet customer expectations. Responsibility is held for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of projects with limited requirements analysis and limited testing requirements. Represents the office with other governmental agencies. Develops and maintains effective collegial relationships as required. Elevates project or client issues through appropriate channels.
 
Client Relationship Management:
(Filled using the informations systems consultant class.) Develops an ongoing relationship with OT’s agency clients so that the agencies’ needs are comprehended and served by OT with the goal of improving customer service. Provides the main point of client contact to understand the clients’ short- and long-term technology objectives – and how they fit within the state’s overall strategic plan for technology. Consults with clients to identify their technology needs or services issues, and determine how the clients can access appropriate resources through OT services, state-wide contracts, new procurements or a combination thereof. Educates clients about OT’s services, strategy and objectives; stays aware of the technical solutions being implemented across state government.
